gnasher said to print out the call which I had done previous. There are no typos. But in fact I do have the same problem running it from the command line. Where does the & go?

Why not just leave them, since they're not hurting anything by being there. I'm sure if you did enough research, you could find the purpose for each file, but why waste the time?
Wow, you are such a great help. Thank you so much...
Seriously though, why even bother helping if you have nothing to contribute?

Hello:
I just recently bought a new MacBook pro (10.6.7) and am trying to restore a winclone (2.2) windows 7 image (31Gb, stored on a external HD) to a new bootcamp partition (110Gb, MS-DOS (FAT32)), and when I mount the image and attempt to restore, I get the following error:

Hmm... After it's done with the first CD, and it's rebooting, the CD is still in there, right? I believe that the mac continues to boot off the first CD until the second is needed. The HD isn't booted from until the installation has finished. Once it's done with the first CD, and restarts, try holding down the "C" key to ensure it doesn't try and boot from the HD.
Actually, after the first CD is done installing, the installer boots from the internal HD (or at least, it should). The installer then continues pulling from the CD to finish the installation (if there is more needed, you actually don't need the 2nd CD for a fully functional system).
You can try doing a custom install with only the minimal install features and see if you can at least get a bootable system. Then you can do additional installs from the 2nd CD directly from the Finder, you just have to navigate to the packages that you want to install.

The power support screen protectors seem to cover edge to edge.
There is a tiny raised lip on the edge of the iphone 4 screen, the power support seems to fit right up to it.
Thank you for your fast response, I'm eager to get my phone protected. What you've described sounds just like what I'm looking for.
Cheers :)

It really would be nice if biteSMS allowed you to forward to a GV number, and then if you respond to that number it automatically goes through the BiteSMS app to be re routed to your AT&T number.

Drag the .app to the trash. Don't use cleanmymac, appzapper, appcleaner or any crap like that.
Ugh, I just bought CleanMyMac. Could you elaborate more why these products are bad to use? Thanks
Nevermind: I see someone just addressed my question as I was posting.

Well, let's wait until somone receives one and tells us exactly what chip it is.
If it a new G4, then it may better address DDR RAM. That, and the larger L2 cache, would be worth $500 to me.
However, whether you'll utilize the power is dependent on what you do. Try going to an Apple store, and using their machines with the processor monitor open. Run what you would normally run each day.
If you don't peg out both processors, then you don't need more machine. I always have 20 apps and 25 binaries running on top of the OS, so my processor is usually pegged at all times. I have a full load of RAM, and still get pageouts.
For users who are doing office type work (web, mail, Office, etc.) the Dual 867 should be more than enough. For those working with audio, Photoshop, compilers, or running 24/7 services, the Dual Gig should be fine. If you want to do some rendering, run A LOT of services, are a video junkie, or just need to be the fastest, get the Dual 1.25.
But don't buy anything until we hear some more about what's in the 1.25...

Snow Leopard 10.6 is a full install, so you can start with an empty HDD (since your machine shipped with 10.5, there's no chance of having a newer/special build of 10.6.x).

Don't worry about Apple techies insisting that the new one is better... the fact is that no test has shown with any authority which is better.
I also suspect that a lot of die-hard Macheads are currently in the process of brainwashing themselves to worship the DDR PM's in order to maintain the "Apple rocks" world view.
I say that the DDR PM's are OK but not very exciting. Performance is not the primary advantage of the new PM's; I'd say it's mostly RAM and disk capacity.

Just curious. I got my new pb and am overall very very happy with it. But i am a biologist and work that i do requires up close scrutinay of several photographs. These horizontal lines make that very annoying. If this is a software problem i wont be that discouraged, but if it is hardware i may have to get a pre-october refurb. Anyone have any insight into this issue?
Another possibility is that the problem is in the wetware. Some uses see it others don't. It might be that some hardware has it. It might be that Apple had it in the initial machines but not now. I say that because I just got a PowerBook 15" and the screen is beautiful. No lines. No flicker. No waves. Bright and crisp. I love it.

I've been adding articles of products announced at Macworld, but it seems it doesn't work for products with an apostrophe in their name. I added both iLife '06 and iWork '06, but neither of those pages show are world editable, regardless of whether I use "%27" or "'" in the links. Is this fixable arn?

Star Wars Pod Racing looked better with it.
The actual Nintendo ones go for a lot of money.
There are a bunch of third party ones out there for less...

"Handsfree"
In all seriousness though, I could see myself buying something a bit similar to this if it were dirt cheap and had the option of a kind of blackout cloth around it. Not for what you might imagine although I would use it in bed. The girlfriend goes to bed hours before I do. I often stay up much later or I might listen to an audiobook and sometimes I like to watch tv shows. It'd be nicer being able to do that in the bedroom. She hates any form of lights in the bedroom so it would need to be able to black out the rest of the world. I don't care how stupid I look if its in the dark after all.

Caution: the new Calendar requires iOS 4 on the iPhone.
To make it work with old iPhones running iOS 3.x, see here: http://meandmymac.net/1040/sort-out-broken-mobileme-calendar-sync-for-ios-3-1-3/

Although I personally agree with you guys and what you say about babelfishes translation being brutal. I know for a fact if I can make this work my bosses will be happy.
Yeah it's incorrect and in-accurate but if the GM goes "hey great job" thats the best I can hope for as appose to "we need to build 4 separate sites, one for each language"

One for the iPhone, the other for the iPhone SDK.
What, you thought that Apple still cared about Macs?
i would've thought the iphone + the sdk would be on the same bridge.
