This should serve as a warning to those innocent among us who think his new-found love for point-based system is anything but another ploy by racist southern republican to deny, stall, delay anything that might benefit anyone of slightly colored skin!!

Probably you got to make you aware of science of immigration. Tell the authorities what they ask for (not what you want to tell). These days merger and aquisitions are commonplace and USCIS may be aware of these situations.

My company merged with another one last year just after my I-140 was approved. I'm preparing to file I-485 (doing it myself) and I'm wondering what kind of documents/letters do I need to submit to USCIS to proof that my job wasn't affect by the merger and I'm still working in the same position.
I'd really like to send all required information to USCIS so that I don't have to reply to RFEs later on.
Any examples of letters or list of supporting documents will be appreciated.

My sister in India may be getting married to a US citizen..she would like to apply for a tourist visa first so she can come stay in the US and spend some time with him before her marriage.
If she applies for a tourist visa, stays in the US for a month or so and then later they apply together for a fiance/K3 visa, are there going to be problems for the K3 visa application considering that she had just applied for a tourist visa before? Is it better to not apply for the tourist visa in this case? Thanks...

Your employer need to submit company's Previous year W2 and also it is better to submit ur w2(couple of years).

Hi,
My wife has FP appointment scheduled for 12/29/07, She is in india now. I have returned from india today only(12/28) and saw the FP appointment. Can i reschedule FP one day before the appointment date? If i send the reschedule request today will USCIS accept it? since there is only one day left. Please advice me.

I havenot received any FP notice till yet though I have got my 485 notice.
If I want to change the location of FP,can I do that?Because my project is getting over and I have to relocate to Texas from California.

Do we get a notice to get biometrics done when you apply for EAD renewal?
My wife and I have a EAD renewal RD of June 23, 2008 at NSC. We have not gotten any LUD after that. Anybody knows how long it takes to get the EAD?

Today, my friend told me that there is new policy prohibiting employees from paying the H1B application fees for their employers. Has someone heard about this policy? If so, would you please provide me some more details on the issue? Where could I find the policy?
I have got two offers. Both the employers are willing to help me apply for H1B, but I need to pay all the fees by myself. I think that is ok for me. TO HRPRO: Thanks for your advise, going back to do the formalaties wont be an option, but yes she can go back to apply from over there for a H4, we are planning to send our docs to the embassy so that we can get a marriage certificate from her country, will that help?

It is always recommended to renew both EAD and AP together, though you can chose to renew only AP.
My guess is that 120 day rule applies to EAD only, and not AP.
You can renew EAD after it has expired, but again it is recommended to at least send in the application BEFORE the expiry date.
