Yes, what is this security clearance? I have applied for H1B renewal after 3 years on July 23rd (my receipt date) of 2007, and this still has not been processed and sent. I was told it has been sent for security clearance. I am here in US working without H1B visa after 7 months of my H1B visa expiry while my renewal is still pending as of today (03/07/08). Does anyone have an idea when is this going to be processed and will I ever get my work visa renewed ?

How familiar are you with creating apps in Blend? If you are not very familiar, I would strongly suggest looking through the tutorials found in the Basics / Overview section: http://www.kirupa.com/windowsphone/index.htm
They should provide you with a basic understanding of how to add controls to your project, make some tweaks to them, etc.

I dont think there is any way you can apply for GC right now. Once your parents are US citizens they can apply GC for you under family based immigration. Else you need to find an employer (once you get a job) to file GC for you under employment based quota. I am not sure about this but since GC is for future employment can an employer file GC for you based on assumption that once GC is approved you can join him? (in theory it looks possible but I dont think any one has done it. You can consult a lawyer) . But before that you need to find an employer who is willing to file an GC for future employment which is pretty unlikely. So I think you can wait and finish your studies and then see which option suits you better family based or employment based GC.

I applied for a green card for my wife just after we were married on May 11, 2009. We received an appointment for an interview in Detroit on August 25, 2009, but we had moved to Texas in the meantime. The appointment was rescheduled at the Dallas field centre on September 14, 2009 (Monday).
I am wondering what to expect, from the small details to the big stuff. My 3 biggest questions:
. Does anyone have enough experience to say if there is there reasonable parking available at the field centre? I have never been to Irving. The web page says that there is public parking available, but nothing about how much.
. I was married before, and applied for a green card for my first wife. It was granted in 2004, and we divorced in 2006. Should I expect extra scrutiny / challenge because of this?
. Is one actually asked questions of the "What sort of toothpaste does your wife use?" variety? I'm really bad at remembering these details, and am wondering if there's any curve ball that I should expect.

My dealings with my first marriage (many years ago) were all with the Chicago field centre, which is very unpleasant, but my one piece of business with the Detroit field centre were easy and pleasant.

Now both companies A and B made a joint venture (JV) and made company �c� joining company �a� and �b�.
Company A has 25% stake and company B has 75% stake in JV(Company "c"). The new formed company "c" has �new name�, all employees filed �new employment applications� and have �offered a new employment� with the new company �c�
Now my question is as this company �c� is totally �new�, can I convert my EB3 case to EB2 and use company �a� experience and file for EB2 with company �c�

3. Is there a minimum time limit after joining aftre which only I can apply for extension..? No such limit...I feel it is good to have some pay stubs

This question is implying that the stay for the children to go to school in canada would only be a month or so, not more than six months - so does anyone know if there's a risk in messing up the green cards while the family waits a month in canada while waiting for the next destination.

This is forum for LC Sub cases. I'm on last phase of my L1B(5 years would complete on 2009) so my company a large corp evaluted my case as fit for LC Sub and applied I-140 on July 4th and 485 on July 27.
I have no status on my I-140/485 or 131 since got the Receipts. Got EAD.
Even after my FP the case also was not updated.
Question:
If you have filed your I-140 LC Sub are you seeing any progress on your file?
If yes, which date your I-140 was applied?
Was that standaline or Join filing with I-485?
Which Service center is handling your case?

I tried to find answers in other forums but didn't find any.

Doing a AR11/Change of address, do I include all these as additional applications
1. MTR number
2. Appeal number
3. Original 485 (denied) for primary applicant

as far as I know medical assistant position does not require a degree and hence does not get entitled to highly skilled H1 category. Once this is not a skilled profession, one will have to prove that there are no citizens/gc candidates available for this position.
There could be a category of H1 visa for this. talking to lawyer is ur best bet.
FYI:
My wife is B.A.M.S, after researching all options, started studying nursing (accelerated bechelor of nursing ). During her research she did not find any other choice worthwhile!

Hi,
My I140 got denied early this year and the appeal is pending. Processing times for the appeal is 22 months. My priority date will be current next month. Because of that i am considering to refile my I140 and 485 again and withdraw the appeal.
1) Can we refile I140 with the same category (EB2)
2) Can USCIS just deny the new I140 because of the earrlier denial
3) Is there any one who tried this. What is the outcome of the new I140 application.
Please share your experience and also please advice

Does anyone know if we need any special visa for working in Canada if you have a US GC?
One of my relative did work in Vancouver, Canada with his GC. He got his work permit at Canadian port of entry. Anyway this was long back, so please do your research, rules might have changed since then.

I had my stamping done in Delhi last year in September. They just asked me the following:
1. Latest Paystubs.
2. W2.
3. Client name.
4. My responsibilities at work.
5. How long have I worked at my employer.
All this took just a couple of mins. One of my friend also got his stamping done in Delhi in Dec last year.
Just carry all documents you can. They will not be needed, but you be more prepared and confident at the interview.

I do not think being on h1b on only 6 month would be an issue. if he is going to take care of all expenses of their visit, he would have show enough saving + salary to support them.
